Welcome to the Idaho Thoroughbred Association, Inc. The purpose of the Idaho Thoroughbred Association is to foster and promote the thoroughbred industry within the state of Idaho. The ITA is a non-profit association creating and providing financial interest for those who breed, own, and race Idaho Thoroughbred horses. |
Officers and Board of Directors
Idaho Thoroughbred Association is a non-profit organization run by
the elected Officers and Board of Directors, all of whom are regular members in the
association and actively engaged in the Thoroughbred industry.
The Officers, consisting of the President, Vice-President, Past President and Financial
Officer, have general charge of the business and property of the association.
The fifteen Board members regulate and manage the business of the association
through regular board meetings.
Anyone who has an interest in the thoroughbred industry in Idaho can become a member. Membership dues are $50.00 annually. The benefits of ITA membership are numerous, including eligibility to enter your thoroughbreds into the Idaho Cup Program or any ITA Idaho-bred Stakes race, monthly newsletter, free classifieds and free produce record information.
We welcome you and encourage you to be a part of this winning association.

2012 Racing dates are set for LES BOIS Park
As expected, Treasure Valley Racing announced that its 2012 live horse racing season will be extended. The calendar will include 36 days of racing, beginning on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, and running through Saturday, August 11, 2012 (Idaho Cup Day).
Racing will open in time to run concurrently with the Kentucky Derby and will be held on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with select live races for holidays and special stakes races on Fridays and Sundays.
“We are deeply committed to returning horse racing to its former prominence and proud of the recent success of the 15 day meeting this past summer,” said Jim Grigsby, a representative of Les Bois Park Racing. “Horse racing has a bright future in Idaho.”
